just don't buy it. It does not work outside china mainland. so if you are from outside china, the device will be locked. a message says you should email xiaomi to unlock, but it simply does not work. I have sent several messages with no reply. maybe it is a problem with the seller. I bought three units, so I do have lots of money on the garbage.
